Spring is here!

So the seasons appear to have officially changed and with it hopefully positive changes for the future are ahead. Sometimes you can sense sense when things in your world have altered and sometimes the change will come as a surpirse. Spring is a time for fresh starts and new beginnings. I haven't dedicated nearly enough time of this year to the vintage cause in the early part of this year but that is all about to change. I am going to start planning to open a shop of my own. I have settled on a location yet so its very early stages but its exciting to start thinking about it all. It seems possible all of a sudden. xx

Fashion

I've been thinking about my true style and what I really like to wear. I like wearing black, I think that although I really love wearing vintage as much as I can my style is probably a goth 80's, grunge 90's, rockibilly mod look really. The red lips and black hair could be a njod to any era really but it's stange when you realise that you shouldn't just dress a certain way because you think thats how someone expects you to dress.

Friday Afternoon's

Does anyone else agree that Friday afternoon's feel like they last forever. Every time I look at the clock it appears to be going backwards. I have so much to do this evening and I could really do with getting started. I foolishly volunteered to make a skull shaped birthday cake for my lovely friend Mala's surprise 30th birthday party on Saturday. I do not bake! I hate baking, I have friends and family that are very good at baking and if I want cake I will ask them for it o go to a shop to buy it. I love cooking but baking doesn't fit into my life. So why did I undertake the project, goodness knows! I am also preparing a Greek feast for some lovely friends tomorrow night, a task I am looking forward to very much. I am making beef stifado, grilled halloumi, houmous, dolmades, gallantes, Greek chicken, Greek style roast potato's, roast veg cous cous, spanakopita and a few other delights. Then baked figs with mascarpone for dessert!

Walk the Line

I re-watched this film on Sunday and no matter how many times I watch it I always end up dressing a bit like June Carter Cash for the week afterwards, Such a good adaptation of what is, for me, one of my favourite love stories. They had tough times but came together in the end and isn't that just what love is all about! xx
