The Big Green Bag

I came in this morning and my lovely assistant manager had left me a cupcake and a bunch of flowers to say thank you for being such a lovely boss. Yesterday one of my volunteers bought in a necklace she had made me (very lovely necklace) because I have been worrying about my hospital appointment. She was very reassuring as she had been though something similar and now she has two lovely babies.... I think if I was going to think about having children now I would look at fostering or adoption mainly because after several miscarriages it would seem my body isn't up for it! Of course this is something I have just about come to terms with now, it really doesn't help when people use it as a weapon against me but that is something they will have to battle with when and if their conscience ever kicks in.

Today weare getting the shop ready for Valentines Day. As we cater to lots of students we are ditching the traditional hearts and flowers and opting for a far more interesting 'My Bloody Valentine' theme... lots of broken hearts, dark red stained lips and possible a weapon or two! I've already started working on the trend rails as I got here at 8 this morning raring to go! I will post some pics later if I've remebered my camera today xx

Happy Birthday Monkey...

Well, I don't know what to say.... She is the best mum in the world. She has always supported me and my sisters. She stayed at home with us and played. We had the amazing childhood we did because of her. She was are only real carer. Our father was an abusive and manipulative man who hurt us physically nd emotionally but she was the one who would protect us and make our lives better. She is an inspiration, she has picked herself up and brushed herself off more times the she would care to remember. I can't think of a single person that has met her and not said 'your mums lovely' to me within 10 minutes. Since moving back to the bright lights of Chez Vegas she has encouraged me and helped me start my vintage business and without her those cold mornings on the market would have been a hell of a lot colder. So raise a glass to my lovely Mum and wish her a very happy birthday xx
